Graduate Programs

AIU offers several specialized graduate programs designed to develop leadership, strategic thinking, and practical skills. While the catalog mentions four distinct master’s degrees, the primary graduate programs focus on Business Administration, Marketing, and Management.

Master of Business Administration (MBA)

This program is designed to develop managers and leaders competent in operational excellence and strategic decision-making.

  • Objective: To provide competence in financial management, marketing, innovation, and sustainability.
  • Core Requirements: Students must complete 8 core courses, including Financial Management (MBA601), Managing People (MBA603), and Data-Driven Decision-Making (MBA607).
  • Capstone & Concentrations: Candidates must complete a Leadership Capstone (MBA609) and a three-course concentration track in either Data Management & Analytics or International Business.
  • Prerequisites: Students must pass the MBA Entrance Exam (MBA001) and the Financial Management (MBA601) course before full admission.

Master’s of Science in Marketing (MMKT)

The MMKT program prepares graduates for marketing roles in business, non-profit, or entrepreneurial settings.

  • Objective: To equip students with analytical and creative techniques to discover customer insights and develop executable marketing strategies.
  • Core Requirements: This is a 30-credit (10-course) program. Key courses include Consumer Behavior (MMKT602), Digital Marketing & Advertising (MMKT604), and Marketing Research (MMKT610).
  • Prerequisites: Applicants must pass the MMKT001 Entrance Exam with a minimum score of 80%. MMKT601 and MMKT602 must be taken first in a specific order.

Master’s in Management (MMGT)

This degree focuses on advanced organizational leadership and is applicable across all industries.

  • Objective: To transform students into adept problem-solvers and experts in managing people and change.
  • Core Requirements: Students take 10 courses, including Advanced Organizational Behavior (MMGT604), Strategic Negotiations & Conflict Management (MMGT606), and Leading Organizational Change (MMGT609).
  • Prerequisites: Admission requires passing the MMGT001 Entrance Exam and successfully completing Financial Management (MMGT601).

General Admission & Academic Requirements

  • Minimum Passing Grade: Students must achieve a score of 80% or higher in every course to graduate.
  • Maximum Duration: The MBA must be completed within 5 years, while the MMKT and MMGT programs have a 4-year limit.
  • Proctored Exams: All final summative assessments must be taken in a proctored environment via third-party vendors.
  • Entrance Exams: Every graduate program requires an entrance exam passed with at least an 80% score.

Academic Standards for Graduation

AIU maintains high standards to ensure its graduates are “Different on Purpose”:

  • Passing Grade: A minimum score of 80% is required for every course to pass and count toward the degree.
  • GPA Requirement: Students must maintain an 80% (3.0 US GPA) or higher in each course to remain eligible for graduation.
  • Final Exams: All summative assessments must be taken in a proctored environment (via SmarterProctoring).
  • Attempt Limits: Students are permitted a total of three exam attempts per course. Failing a third time results in involuntary withdrawal from the program.
